Programme
A visual essay in documentary format that highlights the importance of family connections and the feeling of double absence experienced by immigrants in changes of residence.
ARCO AT MATADERO MADRID. Parallel Stories is a visual essay in documentary format, the result of a film workshop carried out with eleven young people over the course of a year.

The filming techniques make space for words and their emotional resonance. The discursive constellation created by the artist in collaboration with the protagonists highlights the importance of family ties, the feeling of a “double absence” from having migrated, and an analysis of the process of activating resilience.

The audiovisual exercises created by the participants from a biographical, reflexive, and experimental standpoint become a record of this shared experience of learning through dialogue.
